Thank you for making the 31st Annual Calgary Open Dance Competition an unforgettable event! We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this year’s Calgary Open a remarkable success. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the judges, volunteers, emcee, scrutineer, music directors, coaches, competitors, and spectators, this event simply wouldn’t have been possible without each and every one of you.
It was truly inspiring to see such a vibrant mix of new and familiar faces. The strong sense of community and camaraderie was undeniable, with dance beautifully connecting us all.
We are so appreciative of all the incredibly talented competitors who graced the dance floor with their captivating routines, mesmerizing everyone in attendance. To our enthusiastic audience, your cheers, applause, and encouragement created an electric atmosphere that elevated the entire event. We’re incredibly thankful to our emcee, scrutineer, and esteemed panel of judges for sharing your professionalism and expertise. And to our dedicated volunteers, your hard work behind the scenes was absolutely essential in making everything run so smoothly.
Once again, thank you for your passion, energy, and support. We are truly grateful to be part of such an amazing dance family, and we can’t wait to see you all again on May 16 & 17, 2026!

Pro/Am and Amateur competitors of all levels and ages are welcome to register. Featuring the Calgary Open 2026 Latin & Standard Dancesport Championships. We want to provide an event where dancers can showcase their talent, hard work and love of dance.

Saturday Full Day Ticket / Competitor Pass: $60.00 ($50.00 for 12 and under)
Saturday Daytime Only Ticket: $30.00 ($20.00 for 12 and under)
Saturday Evening Only Ticket: $40.00 ($30.00 for 12 and under)
Sunday Full Day Ticket / Competitor Pass: $50.00 ($40.00 for 12 and under)
Sunday Daytime Only Ticket: $30.00 ($20.00 for 12 and under)
Sunday Evening Only Ticket: $25.00
Tickets will be available for purchase on February 8, 2025
Location
Our event will be held at the MacEwan Ballroom, which is located on the 3rd floor of MacEwan Hall on the University of Calgary campus. Please leave extra time to find the event location and parking. Parking will be available at a cost.
Recommended parking lots are Lots 11 and 12, which offer a flat rate of $10.00.
